Membership Subscriptions
The Society is supported entirely by its fellowship. Subscriptions meet the cost of the journal, the pathology and ophthalmology collections, the podcast and the members’ instruments. Kindly choose the category that fits your circumstances.
The Fee Schedule
Every subscription runs for twelve months from the date of payment, save for life membership, which is paid but once. Should the fee present a difficulty, kindly write to the Treasurer; the Society has never turned away a scholar for want of means.

Payment is taken on Stripe’s own secure page. The Society never sees, holds nor stores your card particulars.

You will be returned to this site as soon as the payment is complete, and a receipt will be issued at once.
PIX is the instant transfer system of the Banco Central do Brasil. Scan the code with your banking application, or copy the copia e cola string and paste it there.

For institutional payments, or where a card is inconvenient, the Society accepts a direct transfer.
Matters Frequently Raised
Must I pay to read the journal?
No. The Codex is open to all, and always will be. A subscription supports the work and brings the members’ instruments, the directory and the forum.
Is my card safe?
The card is entered on Stripe’s own page, under their certification. Neither this site nor the Society ever receives the number.
Why is PIX offered?
A good number of our members are in Brazil, where PIX is the ordinary means of payment and costs nothing to use. It is offered for their convenience.
May I cancel?
A subscription simply lapses at the end of its twelve months unless renewed. Nothing recurs without your act, and nothing is taken automatically.
Can the Society issue an invoice?
Yes. Write to the Treasurer with the particulars your institution requires and one will be drawn up.
I am a student with no funds.
Write to us. A number of subscriptions are remitted each year, quietly and without fuss.
